Whitney’s Inn Wedding in Jackson, NH with Meg & Brian

May 7, 2016

I’m hoping that date up there doesn’t shock anyone…I have a confession to make…I get blog guilt.  Overwhelming blog guilt that all of the weddings we have shot in the last three years haven’t hit the blog, but we made a decision (Mike twisted my arm) that now going forward that the blog cannot be all inclusive and I’ll just do my best!

So, this Whitney’s Inn Wedding with Meg & Brian was a beautiful destination wedding in Jackson, NH which just happens to be up the road from our house in North Conway!  When they asked us to be their wedding photographers we were pretty stoked because they are both photographers in the industry and Brian was a teacher at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts and we knew going into the day that it was going to be amazing on all fronts! Bonus is we got to skip over to Jackson Falls for their portraits and it was just a beautiful day for it!

Based on the images you can see that they didn’t disappoint with their thoughtfulness that went into every little detail they put into their day!  This was also one of three for this particular season where we had the “getting ready” portion of the day spent together…I love that Brian got to zip her dress and they got to be in that moment together! One extra bonus of the day to look out for is how much Meg loves her Dad…I think the fun thing for Mike and I in becoming parents ourselves is watching weddings now from a parent’s perspective is a new level…and Meg’s bond with her dad definitely moved us to tears!

We also had the pleasure of working with Sarah and Rick of PenWeddings and they captured an amazing film (using all film) which blew us away!

Cinematography: PenWeddings |  Venue: Whitney’s Inn | Catering: Shovel Handle Pub  | Florals: Dutch Bloeman Winkle |  Cake: White Mountain Cupcakery | Officiant: Kim “The JP” Steward | DJ/MC: White Mountain Productions | Hair & Makeup: Debony Salon

We had never shot a Wolfe’s Neck Farm wedding before and I realized the second that I set foot on the property that I needed to figure out a way to bring my family back to visit or camp or just hang out for an afternoon because it was just gorgeous and I have a soft spot for Freeport, ME.  I have great memories of having gone on big excursions to Freeport as a kid always getting good ice cream and walking around L.L. Bean! This late June wedding had absolutely perfect weather and the ceremony overlooking the ocean could not have been more magical! Katelyn and Ben are the couple that just wants to stare at each other all day and smile and high five about how happy they are as things around them are unfolding…I can clearly hear Katelyn’s voice on repeat in my head…she just kept walking around saying, “This is awesome!” This makes our job more so amazing because every time you put the camera to your face there is a happy smiling couple on the other side! I think this often happens when there is an awesome planner that the couple loves and trusts…because they know their wedding day is safe in her hands and can just sit back and enjoy the day!  So kudos to Adrienne with refineryevents.com for a wedding so well planned!!!
