WHAT ABOUT WHAT?

If you've come here looking for more work after visiting our website you're crazy....just kidding, you've come to the right place! This is a place where Mike and I can showcase some of our most recent work--if you're here and the last post is from months ago just remember that our priority is always keeping up with our event editing and getting images to our clients on time! Sadly, the blog, while we love it, doesn't always make it to the top of the to-do list. Rest assured, we'll be back, we always are! In the meantime feel free to get in touch via our contact form!

I’ve been having a hard time lately with wanting to just put all of the images from the wedding on the blog…meaning you would be scrolling through about 700-900 images per wedding.  Which…would be ridiculous!  But with this wedding again, there is just so much amazing going on that I had a hard time narrowing it down.  So, if you love this and want to see more, maybe you should just leave a comment and I’ll share the full gallery with you.  Maybe that should just be what we do for every wedding because they’re kind of like my babies and I love them all and want them all to have their own floor space and time to shine!

So here we find ourselves again with Alix and James but with time with a gorgeous Lake Winnipesaukee wedding where they rented out an amazing private home for the week and hosted a stunning event with the help of Renee Sabo and her team from Simple Details Events.  From the fun food that Caper’s Catering provided to the band Airtight that had everyone dancing and the breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee this wedding could not have been any more beautiful–oh, I forgot to mention that Alix may just be one of the most emotional people I have ever met and is moved to tears by almost everything, which in turn moves everyone around her to tears, so the happy cry fest really just made this wedding even more special! Stay tuned for a video that will really showcase that element of the day in the not so distant future!

Did I mention that our very own Emmie did a reading at the wedding, Sawyer was the ring bearer, and Chase was an usher? See if you can spy us in the big group picture!  Got to love their daddy’s cousin Alix!  Because of all of their involvement in the day we would up asking Ben Burrows from A + B Weddings to come and shoot with Mike and he did an amazing job and we can’t thank him enough! winnipesaukee wedding 2016-03-22_0022 2016-03-22_0023 2016-03-22_0024 2016-03-22_0025 2016-03-22_0026 2016-03-22_0027 2016-03-22_0028 2016-03-22_0029 2016-03-22_0030 2016-03-22_0031 2016-03-22_0032 2016-03-22_0033

From the moment I first pulled up to the Fruitlands Museum for our very first wedding there I fell in love with this venue.  So when Alison and Rick hired us to be a part of their day we were super excited to be back!  I remember bumping elbows with some of the members of the band and looking out at the sweeping views overlooking the Nashua River Valley and talking about just how amazing it is and how it really must be one of the best views in all of Massachusetts.

I’m going to try to contain the gushing…but it’s hard because there are so many things I love about this place! The getting ready room is perfect for the girls and they really did such a great job with the decor in there and the amazing light that pour in means that it is hard to take a bad picture! And then cocktail hour area also serves for the perfect place to do a first look followed by really an epic spot for a ceremony out under the big tree always with a beautiful setup for drinks–the Fruitlands Museum Wedding is kind of straight out of things you only see in movies!

The tent is also gorgeous especially with the sides up and the sun that sets right behind the sweetheart table making for breathtaking views but also a photographer’s dream of gorgeous light for all of the things like the speeches, first dances and always an opportunity to grab the couple and head out for a few shots as the sun dips low on the horizon!

We had so much fun working with Planner – Adrienne Duys Mendonco from Gracie Lou Events, the florists at Orchids ‘n Blooms, the band Freestyle and our right hand man Tim who has been at every Fruitlands Museum wedding we have ever shot working super duper hard to make the day seamless!

Stay tuned for more Fruitlands Museum Weddings on the blog because we were there a lot in these past two seasons and I’m about to blog a ton before this years weddings start rolling in too quickly!

Alix and James are pretty fun and completely go with the flow–they also happen to be two of our favorite people and Mike might just be Alix’s only favorite cousin on her dad’s side and one of our number one babysitters who the Duval kids adore.  We started their fun arcade engagement session outside at the Old North Bridge (which, I know, is not an arcade) because they have an awesome golden doodle named Wally.  If you click on his name you’ll see he is pretty much famous and adorable and therefore we had to make him a part of their session.  Generally dogs aren’t the best at air hockey and when we asked him his favorite place he said the park!   After Wally had smiled enough for the camera and Alix and James were getting cold (and the light was disappearing) we hopped over to the Acton Bowladrome & Arcade for some more fun!  I love that they were able to go from fun fancy clothes to plain old college t-shirts and still look amazing in this arcade engagement!  I can’t wait to share Wally at their wedding in a few more blog posts…because if you thought he was cute here you should see him in a teal tie! And if you’re looking forward to seeing Wally you won’t even believe how amazing Alix and James and the whole wedding turned out! 2016-03-22_0001 2016-03-22_0002

Stay tuned for their amazing NH Wedding up on Lake Winnipesaukee!

We hadn’t meet Suzy and Dan before we booked their wedding because, like a lot of our clients, they were out of state planning a wedding in Boston.  When they showed up to their engagement session while visiting Suzy’s family and were ready to smile, laugh, kiss and pose like they had been doing it all their lives it makes you all the more excited for the wedding!  The light in the Arnold Arboretum on this June afternoon was perfect! 2016-03-04_00142016-03-04_0016 2016-03-04_0015 2016-03-04_0017 2016-03-04_0018

Stephanie and Keith had a beautiful May engagement session that we turned into their wedding invitation! They also had some pretty amazing golden afternoon sunlight and a fun banner with their wedding date on it! We printed these on a 4×8 long pearl paper and made matching directions and rsvp cards–I’ve always loved using images from an engagement session for a invitation because it’s kind of a fun way to give everyone you love a picture to hang on their fridge and get excited about the big day!

A couple more of my favorite quintessential Grist Mill images…I remember visiting here as a kid and being in awe of what an actual mill was…it’s such a beautiful icon to visit now and photograph!
