We first met Cathy and Charlie at Charlie’s daughter Lizabeth’s wedding in 2007….soon after the wedding they contacted us about their wedding. They are such a remarkable pair, have been through so much together, and we really truly respect, admire, and have come to love them and their families. Their wedding day was one of the only sunny days of the month, the outdoor ceremony at Colt State Park was beautiful, and for the reception they MADE 29 different foods for their guests. Cathy is a culinary arts teacher and it really showed, I don’t normally stand by the buffet at weddings trying everything, but it was just all so good! Cathy has promised some of the recipes and I am beyond excited. She made the cake for them and the cake for their friends and officiant who they share a wedding anniversary with and both (yes, I tried them both) were out of this world. I think I rolled away from this wedding with a full belly and a happy heart–thank you so much Cathy and Charlie for letting us share in your day, you made us appreciate life on a whole new level and for that we are forever grateful.
They made and bottled their own wine as well, so talented!
We also brought along our good friend Doug Levy (www.douglaslevyphotography.com) for the shoot and while he captured some awesome images throughout the day, he also decided to do a makeshift photo booth a the reception and captured these great images!
