Jackie and Frank – we love these two! This is one of the fun 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon moments when I think of it. Mike and I rarely, maybe actually we never have, advertise…we feel like we want to shoot such a small number of weddings a year (20) in relation to the number of weddings that are actually happening in New England that we do solely rely on word of mouth advertising. So it is fun when we get hit in two directions–Jackie had a friend Caitlin who was an MKD bride back in 2010…and she also went to the same high school as Mike and her older brother was a friend of his. So she made contact and put the two together and in our world that’s pretty fun!
I love the stop at the Fruitlands Museum for this wedding, and even more so the vintage fire truck. It’s not the first fire truck to make an appearance in our photography lives…but it is the first vintage fire truck and the first truck to come to a wedding! The bridal party in on the fire truck has to win some kind of award for favorite group shot this past season…and that’s saying a lot because there were some super fun bridal party shots this year! I love the colors, the flowers that add the pop of orange, her shoes (!!), the fact that she is coloring on her wedding day, the gorgeous cake from The Cake Lady Dianne Rockwell…if you haven’t had one of her cakes you haven’t lived. Seriously. My two sisters happened to have her for their weddings, and the little tester cakes that she can do for your bridal shower…I kind of would get married again tomorrow (to Mike, of course!) if it meant I could eat some of her cake!!
What a beautiful shot of the bride and groom at the top!
