When we first met with Cynthia and Tom they were asking about a November wedding and the logistics of doing formal pictures when it is dark outside–Mike and I always have so much fun working with light when we are the ones who get to put it where we want it so the idea of formal pictures where we have to light them all sounded pretty fun to us!  We brought an awesome Ice Light which was the brain child of Jerry Ghionis and manufactured by Westcott.  It was extra fun because Cynthia is a light engineer so we knew the quality of our light was going to be important to her!

This was a really really fun wedding to have the pleasure of photographing–Cynthia and Tom were oozing happiness…literally they were all smiles and cute little whispers to each other all day.  Cynthia was all about keeping things low stress and put her own flowers together, picked out a gorgeous light blue dress to honor Mary, and walked to their ceremony with an adorable niece who had her stop to smell the flowers on the way.  After the wedding we piles Cynthia and Tom in our car and drove around to find some awesome night spots for their images complete with the Museum of Science shot in the background….and with all of that talk, on with the images….don’t miss the sleeping bride (pretending) and flower girl (for real out like a light!)!! 2014-03-29_0020 2014-03-29_0021 2014-03-29_0022 2014-03-29_0023 2014-03-29_0024 2014-03-29_0025 2014-03-29_0026 2014-03-29_0027 2014-03-29_0028 2014-03-29_0029 2014-03-29_0030 2014-03-29_0031 2014-03-29_0032

Erin and Brian had typical rainy and windy New England fall day, but we didn’t let that slow us down for this Marriott Long Wharf wedding in Downtown Boston. Despite the weather, they were troopers and wanted to still do the first look and formal pictures outside.   All it took was a small break in the raindrops as we went out to Christopher Columbus Park for the big reveal.  The whole bridal party came out to witness the first look and the arch and the fall foliage made for the perfect backdrop to grab some formal pictures of them.  After that we all went inside for an absolutely gorgeous ceremony in the Palm Garden room at the Boston Marriott Long Warf and an elegant (and really beautifully uplit) reception in the Harbor View Ballroom–by the way I think that this may have been the wedding that had hands down the funniest best man speech!

Normally we don’t share albums instead of images, but this wedding we shot at the Pinehills Golf Course just begged to be blogged. There is just something about this layout that tells the story of Aileen and Andrew’s wedding way better than any grouping of images I could put together!  There were so many little touches that made their day special, this design really captures them.  Was it the first look session at the Plymouth Breakwater, the heartfelt vows at St. Peter’s Church, or the tea serving tradition at the Pavillion during the reception, who knows? Everything came together for a gorgeous September wedding.

Our story with Aileen & Andrew starts like it does for so many of our couples, at a friend’s wedding we were shooting. (this one).  Hailing from Bentley University, these two come from a long line of Bentley couples that we have worked with so it is always fun to feel like it is old home week and there are familiar happy faces wherever you look.  Some things I love about Aileen and Andrew–their obvious love for each other, their sense of style, Andrew’s love of some pretty awesome sneakers, their choice of friends who we already love, the Del’s lemonade cart that they brought to the wedding, and the way they play off each other with big smiles, snuggles and hugs.  We’ll let the photos speak for themselves…

We don’t normally like to shoot more than one event in a weekend–but when Kara contacted me she said it was a shorter event and it was really close and I loved the story of her and Dan finding each other and finding love!  So after leaving the vineyard the day before we were excited to work a two vineyard weekend at Nashoba Valley Winery!

Kara had a really funny story about bad weather on major family events…one even with some very close lightning striking on a graduation day right near the party location.  So as a joke, when he brother showed up in full rain gear, everyone was laughing…until it was time for Kara to walk down the aisle and it really did start to rain!  Thankfully she was prepared as well with her simple white umbrella and the rain wasn’t going to stop anyone!  Have I mentioned lately how incredibly lucky Mike and I are to work with people on their wedding day when they are so beyond happy that it is just infectious and we’ve determined we really do have the best job there is! 2014-03-27_0070 2014-03-27_0071 2014-03-27_0072 2014-03-27_0073 2014-03-27_0074 2014-03-27_0075 2014-03-27_0076 2014-03-27_0077

We heard from Yinette and Devin about two months before their wedding day and were super excited to work with Susan from Elizabeth Allen Events who we knew would pull their event off without a hitch.  If you remember from their Boston engagement shoot, this super cute couple we knew was going to be fun…but enter awesome families and friends at the gorgeous Willowdale Estate and we were in wedding photographer heaven!  I still cannot get over how drop dead gorgeous these two were on their wedding day…something about being in love and so genuinely happy that just does a body good! 2014-03-27_0037 2014-03-27_0038 2014-03-27_0039 2014-03-27_0040 2014-03-27_0041 2014-03-27_0042 2014-03-27_0043 2014-03-27_0044 2014-03-27_0045 2014-03-27_0046 2014-03-27_0047 2014-03-27_0048 2014-03-27_0049 2014-03-27_0050 2014-03-27_0051 2014-03-27_0052 2014-03-27_0053 2014-03-27_0054 2014-03-27_0055 2014-03-27_0056
