Lindsey and Josh are getting married in a little more than a month and we are super excited for their big day!  I can’t believe it is almost beach season again…seems like so long ago that bare feet in the sand was a good idea and this beach session was all about that sand!  Lindsey and Josh drove up from NY for this session and they wound up with the perfect night for this shoot!  I love the mix of two outfits and the chemistry between these two….did I say already that we can’t wait for their wedding??

Looking for an engagement session with just the right amount of Back Bay Boston flavor?  Copley square is a great place to shoot because there’s so much diversity & the light comes through just right!  Check out this session we shot with Yinnette & Devin.

Copley Square offers three cool shooting areas: Boston Public Library, Trinity Church, and the surrounding streets.  All three of them in such a condensed area makes it easy for a ton of variety to your photo session.

Just looking at these images after what seems like an incredibly long winter is making me miss shorts, nice weather and hot Boston afternoons!!  Mike did this session in August and when he brought them home and I had a chance to look them over I was so super excited for their wedding…why you ask?  Because you can just tell from these images that they were going to be a ton of fun….and I was right!  Can’t wait to share their wedding images later this month…but for now, I bring you an awesome summer afternoon in Boston!

This was the day the heat wave we were having broke…and it was so very nice to be at Rockport near the ocean at this gorgeous spot we had never been to.  When Cynthia described it we couldn’t wait to see for ourselves what this amazing place was all about.  She said, “Halibut Point in Rockport is another, very dramatic place that Tom and I love. There is a Victorian-era rock quarry cut out of the rocky tip of Cape Ann, and all of the rocks that didn’t crack quite right were cast off into a gigantic rock pile that now serves as a scenic overlook.”  Who wouldn’t want to shoot there?  We brought a new light to test out with Cynthia’s lighting engineer background we wanted to see what we could accomplish with the sunset at such an awesome place.

As an aside…it was VERY nice that there weren’t any pesky green head flies eating us alive this night!

Krissy and Mark are definitely into the beach and love the coast of Maine where Mark’s family is from.  Mike met up with these two in the early early morning to capture some awesome light–and Krissy and Mark didn’t bat an eye at how early early really means!  I think the thing that pays off is the light that we’re able to capture when we go by the best sunlight instead of a more normal wakeup time–it is only one morning and naps later in the day always make up for it!  I also threw in two images from a mini save-the-date session we snuck in the November before so they had some images to use for their postcards!  all, it’s

This was the morning after the last wedding we posted…crazy early.  We are sun-seekers.  I think you can see why when you look at these images.  There is just something that cannot be beat–if you would wake up to get on an early flight to some amazing destination, then we say why not wake up and find the amazing light with us at the crack of dawn!  Aileen and Andrew are getting married September 8th of this year and we are super excited to be at their wedding!  They really took what we said to heart when we said we are less interested in taking pictures of pretty people in pretty places for engagement sessions…what we really want to to capture the essence of YOU as a couple.  We want people to squeal when they see you posing for pictures with your stuffed bears from when you were a tiny kid and say, “AWWWW that is so Aileen and Andrew!!”  Or when they see your Air Jordan 11 sneakers all lined up on the steps instead of lining your closet because you are a sneaker collector…that this is a real part of who you are, what makes you tick, and years from now when you look because we want to time warp you to these moments of planning your wedding, of being engaged, of the fun, young, love you’re smack dab in the middle of right now!
